SATURDAY | Recovery Rituals: Rebuilding Energy When You’re Burned Out

Recovery is not rest. Recovery is restoration, supporting the systems that rebuild energy.

Holiday pace reduces recovery time and increases stimulation, leading to chronic low-level exhaustion.

Recovery rituals include:

• A consistent morning light routine
• A 5-minute nighttime decompression
• Hydration + electrolytes
• Gentle mobility
• Lowering stimulation before bed
• Journaling or emotional labeling

Even 5-minute rituals improve mood regulation and energy resilience (Creswell, 2017).
