Weekly Theme: Common Beliefs That Block Momentum
“Most barriers aren’t physical — they’re the stories we believe about ourselves.”
Tuesday — You Don’t Need Perfect. You Just Need to Start.
One of the most damaging beliefs is the all-or-nothing mindset:
“If I can’t do it perfectly, I shouldn’t start at all.”
Perfectionism kills momentum because it sets an impossible bar. Real change is messy. Real habits grow from showing up consistently — not flawlessly.
**Try this:**
Use *implementation intentions.* Instead of “I’ll work out tomorrow,” plan it specifically:
“If it’s 7 AM, then I’ll walk for 10 minutes.”
Research shows that people who form these concrete “if-then” plans are up to **three times more likely** to follow through than those relying on motivation alone.
